Monday, monday, monday. . .

Monday marks the start of a new week. For at least this summer is marks the start of the new check list.

What am I going to get done this week. First thing I need to get done is some basic features in Fib Quest, (Fibonacci's Quest). All of the art design side of the team go to the Art Institute here in Austin and they are on break for a couple of weeks and so David (the other programmer) and I won't be getting any assets yet. So it time to get a lot of wanted and basic features implemented whilst we are on hold for the art. Some R&D as well.

Its a new week at work and hope to get far in the game I'm working on. Last week I didn't get as far as I wanted and that mainly due to my slight lack of concentration, but I'm getting there. So I came in on Sunday (yesterday) to try and finish it up but was unsuccessful. I hit a wall and had to wait to speak to one of the permanent developers here to get some help, so I plan to finish up today.

Tonight is going to be cool. Myself and two other interns here at Multimedia are going to watch the DCI broadcast of this weekends opening shows. I am excited to watch it as I have friends involved this summer, some marching and one on staff with DCI. That latter friend is actually assisting with the broadcast. My other friends are marching with the Boston Crusaders, The Cadets, and my personal favorite Santa Clara Vanguard. It should be a fun event! Watching this will also probably make me really want to see the DCI show when it comes to town.

Real Life

Its amazing how time passes and how real, adult life catches up to you.

This summer has had many of these life events happen. I have seen people I know get dream jobs, become married, have kids, and die. Some of these are joyous, some of theses are celebrations, and some are very sad, but they are all apart of adult life.

The thing you start to do is imagine these things happening to you in your life, and I find it amazing how soon (hopefully not the dying part) they will all come.

This summer is start of many new and great things in my adult life and I can't wait to jump in head first.
